Through community involvement and outreach, we will continue to grow and foster our relationship with our community.

What do we provide?
Aspire Dental Clinic offers top quality dental care for infants, children and teens. We have a dynamic team of experienced Paediatric Dentists who, along with skilled dental staff, create a safe and secure ambience that makes each appointment a comfortable and relaxing experience from beginning to end.

Our kids’ dentists always recommend early dental checkups, even before your child turns one, to ensure their oral health.

We specialize in the following treatment plans that have been formulated with children and teens in mind.

  • Dental Examination for infants plus risk assessment for caries in mother and child – Many new mothers are unaware that poor dental health of the mother can be passed on to their infants. Children can get infected through vertical transmission – kissing, using same utensils – from mothers who suffer from poor oral health or high oral bacteria. We educate parents in infant dental care, carry out a caries risk assessment, and formulate a preventive treatment plan.
  • Preventive Dental care through Fluoride treatments and Dental Sealants –  provides effective preventive dental care that will fight against tooth decay and cavities. Fluoride treatments and dental sealants are both effective products that strengthen tooth enamel and protect against cavities and decay. They are painted over the tooth, its grooves and dips, acting as a barrier, preventing the attack of bacteria.
  • Habit counselling (for example, pacifier use and thumb sucking) – Habits, such as thumb–sucking and pacifiers, if continued beyond the age of four, can give rise to a number of dental problems including jaw misalignment, tooth decay, roof narrowing, and slanting teeth. We are able to provide expert counselling and advise to break this insidious habit.
  • Habit breaking appliances – If you have tried all the tricks up your sleeve to stop your child from thumb-sucking or using the pacifier, then maybe it is time for a habit breaking appliance from Aspire Dental Clinic. We provide a mouth guard that is attached with the help of dental bands, preventing the insertion of the thumb or pacifier.
  • Space Maintainers – Space maintainers are used in children who have lost their baby tooth much before the permanent tooth is ready to take their place. It is custom-made for each child and is used to keep the space of the lost tooth open until the permanent tooth erupts.
  • Repair of tooth cavities or defects – Tooth decay, also known as cavities or caries are a common complaint in children. Dr. Paul’s Dental Clinic offers effective treatment options that ensure the comfort and safety of your child. We are also able to advise you on how to prevent tooth decay in the future.
  • Dental Injuries – Dental Injuries can be traumatic for both the parent and the child. We have a specialized dental emergency service that is able to take care of all crisis situations such as fractured, displaced, or knocked-out teeth. It is crucial to get help immediately, so call us as soon as possible, so we can advise on how to deal with the situation.

What is a root canal treatment?
Endodontic treatment, commonly called root canal treatment, is the cleanup of the entire infected pulp of a decayed tooth, sterilizing and replacing it with a sealant to prevent further infection.
The treatment procedure can take several appointments, depending on the complexity of the root canal and the severity of the infection. A crown or complex restoration may become necessary in the course of time since the root canal procedure can cause the tooth to fracture.

Common signs that tell you whether you require a root canal treatment or not:
● Dental Cavities causing pain
● Prolonged pain especially to hot and cold
● Night time pains
                                                                                  ● Gum boils

If you see any of these signs, consult a dentist to avoid any dental emergency.

What are the causes of dental infection?
One of the main causes of dental pulp infection is one’s laxity towards tooth decay. Some of the indications of tooth decay are excessive pain, swollen gums, pus discharge and sensitivity towards cold and hot food. If any of these symptoms appear, we advise you to visit a dental clinic and treat it without fail; since untreated tooth decay can even damage your tooth bone.

What is Prosthodontics?
Prosthodontics deals with the restoration and maintenance of missing or damaged teeth to improve the aesthetic appearance of the face and mouth. Prosthodontists can restore the natural appearance of the mouth and teeth through repair or replacement of teeth and facial tissues. Prosthodontists are also referred to as Maxillofacial dentists.

What does a Prosthodontist do?
A Prosthodontist is an “architect” who possesses the skill to recreate your face and smile using state-of-the-art procedures and techniques. Our experienced and certified Prosthodontists work closely with the patients, formulating a comprehensive treatment plan with a complete understanding of the current condition and expected results.

The treatment profile includes treatment of maxillofacial abnormalities, congenital disorders and oral/ maxillofacial trauma. Our team of Prosthodontists can even repair a previously failed procedure. Our dentists provide advanced dental care for complexities that arise with the anatomy of the teeth, gums and the supporting bone and jaw structure.

Types of Prosthodontic Treatment:

Aesthetic Reconstructive Dentistry – This procedure provides effective solutions for patients with one or more missing parts of the teeth. It strengthens the functional and structural connection between the implant and the rest of the natural jawbone.

Dental Veneers – Dental veneers are used to create bright, white smiles popularly known as “Hollywood Smiles” with beautifully shaped teeth. They consist of a thin porcelain shell that is applied to top of your natural teeth, covering gaps, crooked and chipped teeth, discolourations and many other issues.

Dental Crowns – Dental crowns are designed to cover damaged teeth like a cap. They are usually made of metal, porcelain or a metal-porcelain composite and are cemented over the remains of the natural tooth.

Dental Bridges – These are designed to replace missing teeth, restoring beauty, functionality, and chewing efficiency to the patient. They are usually supported by adjacent teeth or sometimes by dental implants. They can effectively replace a removable partial denture.

Dentures – Dentures are artificial teeth designed to replace missing teeth partially or fully. They are a cost effective way of improving facial shape and chewing efficiency, giving you a healthy new smile.

Dentures come in many different types:

Removable Complete Dentures – These are full mouth replacements designed to replace all the teeth in the mouth with one piece. This is useful for people who have lost all their teeth.

Removable Partial Dentures – These are used for patients who have a section of their teeth missing. They consist of a metal framework that provides support for the artificial tooth. Removable partial dentures are suitable for people who have healthy and strong teeth remaining in their mouth.

Preventative care is a foundation of dentistry.  Professional dental cleanings help remove built-up plaque that is not removable using conventional brushing and flossing. Often, dentists are also capable of identifying potential problems that patients are not yet able to see or feel. When you maintain regular preventative dental appointments, you can stave off decay and gum disease, as well as identify the beginnings of oral health problems before they become severe.Your cleaning and consultation will consist of a visible examination of the teeth and gums. If you haven’t been to the dentist in a while, you may also require x-rays for a more comprehensive view of your teeth. You’ll also consult with your dentist about any oral health problems you may have been having or questions that you may have. The cleaning will follow, during which a dental hygienist will use special instruments to remove hardened plaque from your teeth. Finally, your teeth will be polished before your dentist discusses any treatment recommendations he or she may have for you.

For natural looking teeth, healthy mouth and clear speech

Are your dentures causing you discomfort? Hindering your speech? There is a better and more refined solution to the age-old dentures and bridges, which are called dental implants. Tooth loss is a common problem that may occur due to accidents, tooth decay, or gum disease. Our implant dentistry specialists can provide you with a better solution, where you will be able to eat better, feel better, speak better, and more importantly, smile without any hesitation.

What is an Implant?
As the words suggest, a dental implant is a metal (generally, titanium) tooth root which is implanted firmly in your jawbone. Then a crown is fixed on it, which serves as your tooth both aesthetically and functionally.

Advantages of Implants
Dental implants are stronger and more dependable than conventional bridges cemented to natural teeth, or traditional partial or fully removable dentures. Dental implants may also be used to support a bridge or dentures when multiple teeth are missing. Implants provide better support and stability, help maintain the jaw bone, and reduce gum tissue irritation. Also, dental implant restorations are not susceptible to cavities.

Our Orthodontic Treatments include:

  • orthodontic treatment for adolescents and teens (metal braces or clear braces)
  • orthodontic treatment for adults (metal braces or clear braces)

Paediatric Orthodontics

A lifetime of beautiful smiles starts with your first visit to an orthodontist.  we know that timely orthodontic treatment ensures that you and your child are happy with the end results. Our orthodontic specialists are skilled in identifying the right treatment for you, taking into account the child’s age, dental development, teeth alignment and many other factors. Our treatment plans include metal braces, clear braces, lingual braces and Invisalign® braces.

What is the right age to visit the orthodontist?

Your child visits the orthodontist by the age of 7 and we agrees. Why?

While some problems cannot be rectified by the age of 7, most conditions like overbite, crowding, and tooth loss can be identified. A visit to an orthodontist is equally important at this age, as this is the age when your child’s first set of molar erupts. Early detection and treatment may reduce or even prevent serious dental problems later on in life, paving your child’s way to a beautiful, healthy smile.

How do you know if your child needs braces?

Your child will need orthodontic treatment if he or she has any of the following conditions:

  • The jaw is not proportionate to the face
  • Frequent thumb-sucker
  • Breathes through the mouth, then the nose
  • Baby teeth fall out too soon or too late
  • Exhibits malocclusions (overbite/underbite)
  • Visible crowding of teeth

Orthodontics for Adults

Braces aren’t for children anymore; one in five orthodontic patients, we treat in our clinic are adults over 21 years. Due to the increased awareness of how a perfect smile can improve your appearance, with the new advancements in orthodontic technology, more and more adults are opting to get their teeth aligned. With new and improved products such as ceramic braces, lingual braces and clear braces (Invisalign®), and a successful treatment provides improved appearance, better oral health, and proper oral functions.

Types of braces

Metal Braces – Metal braces are the most traditional type of braces, consisting of stainless steel brackets and wires, with colored bands that apply pressure on the teeth. The latest metal braces use soft and pliable heat activated archwires, an innovative technology developed by NASA. These archwire braces react to the body heat, gently straightening the teeth with reduced discomfort.

Ceramic/Clear Braces – Clear braces are very popular among adults and appearance – conscious teens, as they are almost invisible on the teeth. They are made of ceramic material that matches the color of the teeth, with tooth-colored wires and clear elastic bands.

Lingual Braces – Lingual braces are specialized metal braces that are placed on the inside of your teeth, making them invisible from the outside. Lingual braces aren’t for everyone, especially if you have small or crowded teeth. They are mostly used by popular personalities for whom appearance is paramount, such as actors, models, presenters and other public figures.

Invisalign® – Invisalign® is a patented system of braces that uses a series of clear plastic aligners that progressively move your teeth to the desired position. Each set of aligners is molded to fit your teeth correctly and are worn for about two weeks. After a fortnight, these are replaced by tighter sets at regular intervals, during the course of the treatment. You are required to visit a certified orthodontist to check if you are a suitable candidate for the Invisalign® treatment.

TMJ Disorder

TMJ or temporomandibular joint connects your lower jaw to your skull. Disorders of TMJ can occur due to reasons like misaligned teeth, sports injuries, gum chewing, rheumatoid arthritis and improper movements of the lower jaw. It can result in jaw pain, difficulty in chewing, facial pain, earaches and hearing loss.

Dentists have been using laser for effective treatment of dental problems since 1990. It can be used as safe and less invasive solution for a wide range of dental applications, from surgical treatments to teeth-whitening procedures. Dentists can now perform procedures that were otherwise not possible with state-of-the-art precision technology.Laser treatment varies from case to case and patient to patient. Whether you are a suitable candidate for laser treatment can only be decided after a thorough examination from our skilled team.

Advantages of Laser Dentistry

  •  Reduces the use of the dental drill
  • Less painful than regular procedures
  • Minimal bleeding during procedures
  • Reduces the need for anaesthesia
  • Less swelling during tissue treatments
  • Preserves healthy tooth during cavity treatment
  • Helps strengthen the bond between filling and the tooth
  • Enhances the effect of tooth-whitening agents
  • Reduced healing time than traditional methods
  • Minimize bacterial infection

Applications of Laser Dentistry

Cavity Detection – Low intensity dental lasers are used for the early and safe detection of dental cavities. This allows us to take effective preventive measures from the very onset.

Dental Drilling – Hard tissue lasers can replace the dental drill, thus reducing anxiety in many patients and eliminating the need for local anaesthetic injections. Lasers are also capable of destroying bacteria inside a tooth cavity, leading to an improved long term cavity treatment.

Periodontal Treatment – Lasers can be effectively used in the treatment of gum diseases including periodontitis and gingivitis. Diseased tissue can be removed and the area sterilized using lasers. It accelerates the healing and reduces gum shrinkage that usually follows surgery.

Gummy Smile – Dental lasers are useful in reshaping the gum tissue, exposing healthy tooth surface and improving aesthetic appearance.

Tooth sensitivity – Tooth sensitivity refers to the discomfort felt when eating or drinking cold or hot things. Dental lasers can easily seal off the tubules on the root of the tooth that cause this sensation.

Crown Lengthening – Lasers can be used to provide a stronger foundation for the placement of dental crowns on damaged teeth. Teeth and gums can be reshaped to expose healthy and strong bone structure that can support restorative implants.

Frenula Treatment – Laser frenectomy can be used to treat babies and children who are tongue-tied or unable to breastfeed due to limited tongue movement.

Aphthous ulcer Treatment – Aphthous ulcers, commonly called canker sores, can be treated effectively and immediately with a dental soft tissue laser. The laser relieves discomfort, seals off nerve ends and promotes faster healing. The treatment is quick, inexpensive and comfortable.

Gum depigmentation – Lasers can be used to remove stains and discolouration from teeth, giving visibly whiter teeth in minutes. The laser can pinpoint and treat the exact area to be targeted and the process is quick and painless with minimal healing time.

Is it Safe to use Dental Lasers?

Dental Lasers are perfectly safe in the hands of our certified dental specialist. All our practitioners have been specifically trained in the latest laser equipment by the manufacturer and have extensive experience in the usage of these devices. Additionally, you will be protected by special eyeglasses during the procedure.
